A neighbourhood venue offering a relaxed dining experience throughout the day and early evening in the historic village of Falkland, created by and for people who love to eat.

Please get in touch to book a table, or if you grow or produce something you think belongs on our plates. The more local, the better.

We will be closed to give our staff time off during the summer with their families after service on Friday 3rd July, re-opening on Wednesday 22nd July. After the break we will be open again for dinners on Friday evenings.

About us

How we got here

Falkland has pulled us here for many reasons but it was the sad sight of our empty local pub which has taken us on this unforeseen adventure.

What started with a simple chat has led us to pooling our collective skills and experience in wine, cooking, growing and design to reopen The Stag, once one of this historic village's traditional pubs, as a food and wine-focused café, bar and restaurant.
